Doc Trashz

Producer, DJ and turntablist Garafalo Rubens, aka Doc Trashz, is one of the latest signings to Ground Level.

Hailing from Sicily, the Doc has been prominent in the Italian dance music scene for several years, due to his excellent scratching and beatjuggling skills. He was a finalist in the 2004 and 2005 ITF Italy DJ Championship, a title he finally won in 2006. During this time his track 'Breakdown' was featured on the first Italian compilation scratch music, 'Scratch till you bleed', selected by DJ Skizo from Alien Army.

 

Following his 2006 success in the ITF championship, the Doc has been in great demand for his scratches and production, having worked on tracks for Tleary Band, Jenzo Symone and FNO crew. In 2007 his talent for production shone through and his 'Beats in a dancefloor' EP was signed and released by BBP records. This year, Genepoole Records picked up his 'Welcome to Hell' EP.

 

Now he has come on board with Ground Level, the first two tracks you'll hear of his are his remix of Break the Box's Groovy Moves, and original composition 'You can kiss my ass', with a remix from the mysterious 'I'm Hulk Hogan'.

 

These are just the start, and expect to hear many great things from this man in the future, the doctor will see you now!
