Break the Box
Break The Box was formed in 2006 by producer and DJ Luigi Barone.
Coming from Sicily Italy the Dj started working on tracks producing trip hop and downbeat in 1999 and enjoyed success as CTlab performing alongside Howie B, Daddy G (Massive Attack), Cinematic Orchestra, Carl Craig and many others.
Playing such prestigious clubs and festivals as Arezzo Wave, Elettrowave, Zo (CT, resident dj 2003), MercatiGenerali (CT), Taxi Driver (CT), Tenax (Fi) Ragno D'oro (Mi) La Drogheria/Xplosiva (To), Distorsonie@Link (Bo), Terrazzamare (Jesolo, VE) Rolling Stone (MI), Youth Icons 06 @ Platform (Athen).
Gaining respect playing the Italian and European festival circuit by 2004 the boy had releases with Record Kicks (MI). Kiver (MI / TO), One Eyed Fish Production (Bo) and Pulver Records (Germany). Heavily influenced by the nu school breaks sound emerging with him DJing alongside the likes of Rennie Pilgrem, Loes Lee and Italy's own 5th Suite.
He once again got back in the studio and Break The Box was formed. The results are amazing Break The Box have their very own sound from tech madness to pure unadulterated funk!
